Accounts

Create an account with a username, email address, password, and Terms of Service acceptance. You can update your profile, avatar, email preferences, password, and theme from account settings.

Account deletion removes personal votes and may preserve posts, comments, direct messages, or public room messages under a deleted-user placeholder so conversations remain readable. If you own communities or chat rooms, ownership must be transferred before deletion.

Communities

Communities organize submissions around a topic. Public communities can be browsed by visitors, while private club communities require a join request and approval before members can view or participate.

Free accounts start with two community creation credits. Reputation can earn more credits at 10 REP and then again at each 100 REP milestone, while paid subscriptions add five community credits when a subscription starts and five more on successful renewal.

Community owners can edit community details, artwork, sidebar media, local moderators, file libraries, membership settings, and ownership. Site administrators control destructive actions such as permanent community deletion and admin-only confidential feedback settings.

Posting and comments

Submissions can include text, links, media, and polls. Comments keep discussion attached to the original submission. Votes, poll choices, read status, and acknowledgement clicks help surface useful content or confirm important notices and are treated as account activity.

Some communities may be read-only, member-only, private, premium-only, read-tracked, acknowledgement-enabled, or configured for confidential feedback. Those settings can limit who can post, comment, vote, view content, or see feedback submissions.

Direct messages and chat rooms

Direct messages start from a member profile or admin presence view. First messages arrive as requests, and recipients can accept, decline, archive, report, or block contact before continuing.

Chat rooms are public live spaces for signed-in users. Join a room to post with the constrained rich-text chat editor, report abusive messages, and use room creation credits when you want to start a new public room with its own name, description, logo, and banner.

Free accounts start with two chat room credits. Reputation bonuses grant one more room credit alongside each earned community credit, and subscriptions add five chat room credits at signup and renewal.

Moderation

Community owners and moderators can help approve private club requests, manage members, promote local moderators, ban members from a specific community, and keep discussion focused on that community's purpose.

Site administrators can review reports for submissions, direct messages, and room messages; manage accounts; transfer community or room ownership; delete users through the shared deletion workflow; permanently ban accounts from the site; and review analytics, presence, or audit information needed to operate S-TECH-IT.

Billing and premium features

Paid subscriptions add five community creation credits and five chat room creation credits when premium access starts, then add five more of each on successful renewal. VIP access or admin grants may also unlock additional credits, premium-only community access, custom appearance options, and other member features. Payments are handled through Stripe, and billing details should be managed through the secure billing flow.

If a payment fails, S-TECH-IT may send an email notification so you can update billing information before premium access is interrupted.

Safety and support

Report harassment, spam, impersonation, abusive posts, abusive direct messages, abusive room messages, private club concerns, billing issues, account access problems, or ban appeals through the contact page or the in-app report actions.

Include your username, account email, relevant links, screenshots when helpful, and a short explanation of what happened. You can also leave general site feedback in the S-TECH-IT FEEDBACK community.
